Downtown Restaurant Week Showcases Culinary Scene

Downtown Restaurant Week launched yesterday with 20 participating restaurants offering special prix-fixe menus showcasing the city's diverse culinary landscape. The annual event runs through next Sunday and has become a highlight of the local food scene.
Diners can choose from menus priced at $25, $35, or $50 per person, depending on the restaurant. Options range from contemporary American cuisine to authentic ethnic foods representing cultures from around the world.
"This is a fantastic opportunity for residents to explore new restaurants and for our chefs to shine," said Downtown Business Association president Karen Phillips. "It's also great for the local economy."
Several restaurants have already reported sold-out reservations for prime dining times. Organizers recommend making reservations in advance and trying restaurants you haven't visited before. A portion of proceeds benefits the local food bank.
